Blowsion has been supporting and sponsoring many athletes in Freestyle, Freeride and Close-Course racing field for years. Lately John Dady of Blowsion informed us that the Company supports the following riders of Close-Course: Dustin Motzouris (South Africa), Craig Warner (USA), Jordan Fielder (UK) and Tyron Motzouris (South Africa). The riders are getting free parts and accessories, free custom paint jobs or part of expenses paid depending on theit contract. Blowsion is there for them to support their race activities and the sport.

A month ago it was published exclusively at www.jetskiworld.gr the test of Team Kawasaki Ultra Turbocharged. The particular race craft featured an aftermarket hull that was designed and fabricated by Jerry Marques a close friend and partner in racing of Craig Warner. Warner’s new company, WWR-Products is focused on fabricating race hulls for Ultra and SX-R. US National and World Champion Craig Warner informed recently that the molds of the SX-R hull and deck have been completed as well as the one for the Ultra lightweight deck. We will reveal for information, pictures and details regarding the WWR-Products in the near future.

Frenchman Valentin Dardilat won GP Ski class at the IJSBA World Finals 2011 on his specifically prepared triple-cylinder SX-R. Though, he used the stock Kawasaki hull which was modified by his dad. I had the world wide exclusivity in the past to test the first ever vest made with a built-in back protector which was made by an Italian company. Now, after six years Jettribe made its move by presenting in the personal watercraft market a unique vest with a detachable back protector. In other words the vest can be used for recreational and race applications. It incorporates a built-in rescue harness on the left shoulder which allows easy retrieval of downed rider during race. It is a unique features which no other vest in the personal watercraft is equipped with and it has been appreciate it by the IJSBA, APBA and TJSBA rescue course marshalls. It is made by single piece compression molded foam in the front chest of additional impact dissipation. It is equipped with dual 38mm quick release buckles on the right and features an interchangeable flag patch on the right shoulder. Seamless integration with Jettribe back protector design to work with the Jettribe race collar harness. Additionally it has a built-in lanyard attachment. It weights only One pound while detachable back protector adds another 5 pounds. Since I have been wearing the Italian vest for over 5 years I was already familiar with the built-in back protector system. The particular Jettribe race vest is easy to wear it and since you put it on, you actually do not feel it. It is shorter on the front so you do not get any kind of discomfort when you ride a Runabout. The fact that you can remove the back protector makes life easier when you go for a recreation. It is a one of a kind Race Vest and a good investment for every racer. Bear in mind that Jettribe Race Vest costs almost half the price of the Italian made vest which is an important fact too.

The illustrated deck was prepared by Taylor Curtis the well known Freeride rider that recently has been using Rickter XFS hull at Blowsion SurfSlam 2011. Taylor modified the XFS tray in order to bring it closer to his needs and his riding style. Note the extra foot straps apart from original Rickter foot holders. Also, he has replaced Rickter’s mat with an aftermarket one in order to enhance grip under the extreme riding conditions.

The poster shows it all 19 years ago when the sport was living its Golden Age. Things are different at the moment especially when the manufacturers pulled off the plug from the production of Stand Up and their participation as Factory Teams from personal watercraft racing scene.

Japanese company 39Star produced a lightweight aftermarket hood for Kawasaki Ultra 300X. The specifications of this hood have not been released yet but for sure it enhances the overall aesthetics.
