>Jettribe at Daytona Freeride 2011

The Jettribe Crew is making the trek from California to Florida again for the Daytona Free Ride. Many thanks to Nick Foederer of the freeride event and the local life guards for making last year's event so cool, and that is why we are coming back. We also thought it was cool that this is a charity freeride and that all proceeds will go to the Volusia County Jr. Lifeguards! With diesel fuel being at $3.65 this week and the drive being about 2700 miles, our fuel tab will add up pretty quick. But being among friends and riders for 3 days…priceless! Doan N. (Boss Lady) will join the Jettribe booth from Maryland to make sure that Jettribe sales are at a record high. For those free riders who missed out on our Jettribe RS-15 race boots, full ride suits, and side entry vests, we will have a limited amount on hand, so first come first sold! Derek Correll will haul the Jettribe II rig from North Carolina to hook up with the Jettribe crew so that we can offload some Jettribe gear for Derek to sell at some local races. Tony Vo from California will be available to clean up the beach ensure no beer bottles or cans are left behind. Jettribe for the first time since the King's Cup will meet up with our Jettribe Team USA race crew that we traveled with to Thailand to hook up and shoot the breeze! We will also be hooking up with Trey Frame from Black Star Racing to go over some top secret projects for 2011. More to come? Well you’ll just have to wait and see what’s in store for Jettribe this season! For more info check out our website at jettribe.com or check out the event site at daytonafreeride.com

>Speedmagic tested 4T X-2

The most talked about four-stroke X-2 (equipped with a 15F engine) that has been prepared by Sato Engineering actually hit the water (read another story on it under the Features Section). The Speedmagic test team put it on the water and the first impression, ok, was good but we have not been able to obtain any more news from the company. Anyways, it was a very interesting project and we are glad that someone actually made it happen.

>A twin impeller for Kawasaki?

Are we going to see one made for Ultra? We know for sure that R&D does not plan to make one for the time being. Bill Chapin of R&D had worked very hard and he had spent countless hours of testing in order to develop certain twin impeller packages that go along with R&D’s ECU and other accessories. The point is that he has valuable help from Yamaha in order to develop all these performance parts. On the other hand as far as we have been informed Kawasaki has not invested on such cooperation. Therefore, most probably we are not going to see such a package developed for Kawasaki unless R&D or someone else has a reason to do it.

>Modern graphics

We have published in the past some exceptional graphics that were shown on Kanamori’s SX-R. Those ones were made by a Japanese company. This time we saw the illustrated pwc graphics on a Japanese web site, Avanti and we strongly believe that they very similar to the ones we had seen in the past. The particular vinyl graphics are awesome. It’s a very nice job and we hope that we will see more of those interesting designs.
