>Two strokes will be banned after 2012

After January 1, 2012 Ski enthusiasts will no longer be able to buy or register an existing technology, two-stroke stand-up in any single state. Racers, however, have found an exception. According to the Federal Register, exemptions from the rule can be granted for an engine that is used “solely” for competition use only. 2T engines will be sold to qualified racers, and used only during the course of competition events. Should these engines be used for recreational purposes, they will immediately lose their exempt status. That means racers may in fact still be able to buy new models after the deadline, and even race them. Additionally a Yamaha (USA) spokesman had informed us that the company had tried many 4T Ski’s but still they do not know whether they will bring it to production since when a Ski travels you bound to get water inside the engine compartment. Therefore, what sort of warranty will you provide this craft with? Also the market is so small that is very hard to invest on such a product. We strongly believe that if one of the Japanese manufacturers make its first move the other one will follow...
