This issue has been reported on two Yamaha TR-1 engines with 130hours of operation including their regular periodic maintenance service. The bolt in the oil pump gear is losing its tightness and the gear driving the oil pump falls out and causes damage to the engine. We have our (Networx Jetsports, Philippines) second incident just now. If anyone has experienced a similar issue please share your opinion.

Kommander GP1 is powered by the latest three cylinder four-stroke marine engine of Yamaha. It is available in two options: a)Yamaha TR-1 NA engine and b)Yamaha TR-1 turbopowered engine. According to Dustin Motzouris this ski has no weakness. “It is more stable than the new Kawasaki, it has 160 pounds less weight, and this boat cannot slide, and it is very stable over 70mph. It is just incredible. Additionally, it is very natural to ride, needs almost no time to get used to it and actually needs more just to get used to how to handle the turbo . The non turbo 1050 will be the best ski for a customer.”

Dustin Motzouris talks about Bill Chapin’s work regarding the development on the new Kawasaki 1500 SX-R: “Honestly Bill did an amazing job, handling is amazing, and power solid, a lot of people tried my ski and everyone loved it. No one has put time into development of that ski like Bill.”

It has been posted in the past that two Japanese firms have manufactured an aftermarket lightweight hood for the new SX-R. However, TBM Racing plans to release its version very soon in the USA. The price of this lightweight aftermarket, made of fiberglass hood will be 895USD which is much cheaper than the Japanese versions.
