R&D crew worked closely with Kawasaki USA in order to develop an aftermarket set of sponsons for the brand new four-stroke SX-R. The sponsons feature and billet aluminum backing plate and a plastic blade that can be positioned in two different locations (up and down) and also forward to front or close to rear end according to the rider’s riding style. Those sponsons were tested from Minoru Kanamori who is the “key” man behind the research and development of the SX-R. The same sponsons were installed to the SX-R when it was introduced at the Kawasaki Dealers meeting last month. Photo courtesy: R&D

Designed by a famous exhaust manufacturer that usually fabricates inox/carbon exhaust pipes for motorcycles in Greece. This particular project was a one-off however there was a great interest from various teams in Europe. The pipe is made by inox and it incorporates a waterjacket. It will be tested in the near future on a mild tuned STX-R 1200cc engine which has been installed in an SX-R hull. Stay tuned.

After having a superb booth at the World Finals in Lake Havasu City, Gasket Technology will show up in a booth in Thailand at King’s Cup. This is the first time ever that Gasket Technology will be visiting the particular International race. According to Susan Chapman Koland most of their products and gaskets kits will be available in the race site behind the Grand Stands.

A set of new Kommander Ind. sponsons were supplied to Jetskiworld.gr in order to be tested on a twin-cylinder SX-R. We have testing those for a week and we were amazed about the fact how the handling and corner grip was enhanced. They make big difference when you start play around with different set ups. A complete report we be posted soon in the Tests section. Stay tuned.
