R&D’s new C5-11 Blade Series Racing Monster Compressor Wheel Kit for Yamaha SHO/FZ/FZR engines is a new “ALL OUT” racing product addition for 2009. The C5 will deliver the highest horsepower upgrade available for the HKS supercharger housing. The R&D C5-11 Monster Wheels modern low profile, high flow 11 blade design incorporates larger inducer and exducer diameters. The larger inducer and exducer diameters will work hard to pump more air flow at all rpm’s producing significantly increased horsepower over the R&D C3-11. The R&D Monster Wheel Kit will deliver 15 solid pounds of boost pressure at 8300 rpm’s and 17 pounds of boost at 8500 rpm’s. The particular intercooler was designed and fabricated in Cyprus in order to cool down the temperature of the incoming air. According to Christos Efthymioy of Aquabike Worx the pictured intercooler had remarkable results though the temperature was far too cold and the aair/fuel mixture was too lean. A modified version is already on the way in order to be tested and finalize the spec of the aftermarket product.
