>R&D High Performance ECU Reprogramming Services / Now Available

R&D is proud to announce our new line up of Sea-Doo RXP-X 260 reprogramming services. The engineering staff at R&D has developed ECU programs to allow new performance levels to be reached for recreational enthusiasts and racers who are interested in more performance through reprogramming the OEM ECU. The R&D ECU Reprogram Service is one of the first performance upgrades that should be done to the new RXP-X 260. The RXP 260 ECU has an internal top speed limit governor that is GPS controlled to only allow 67-68 mph. The GPS speed limit governor controls the throttle plate to modulate and restrict airflow CFM volume into the intake plenum which restricts horsepower. R&D has tested and verified that the throttle plate modulation controls and limits the boost pressure to 6-7 pounds. The R&D R3 ECU Reprogram produces some serious horsepower and performance upgrade gains with a worked over ignition timing map, re-calibrated fuel maps, increased rev limiter functions to allow 8250+ rpm, and removed GPS speed control which allows maximum boost pressure to be reached. With the increased rev limiter settings and 1-1 throttle ratio allowed, the boost pressure with the stock supercharger will be up to 10 full pounds. The R3’s altered ignition timing and fuel tables safely maximizes horsepower performance output with 91 octane pump gas, allowing the Sea-Doo 260 engine to accelerate much quicker out of the hole and pull harder through the mid range with up to 8 mph speed gain. Generally, there is a 9-10 horsepower gain per pound of boost added, this coupled with reworked ignition and fuel tables, a 30-35 horsepower gain can be expected with the R3 ECU Program. R&D offers the popular R3 ECU Programs in several Rev Limit setup ranges. Please view the chart offered below for target rev limit segments offered for specific riding conditions or type of racing. R&D R3 is a vital and necessary key to unlocking and adding performance to the new Sea-Doo 260 engine platform. Whether you are a recreational enthusiasts or an all out racers who is interested in more performance, the R3 ECU is an absolute “Must Doo” Upgrade. Fuel tuning or AFR conditions should always be checked and verified as values will always be slightly different from one engine set up to another. Higher performing programs are continuously under development and will be announced through updates on the R&D web site, so stay tuned. Custom program files can also be performed to accommodate just about any combination of performance level or type of fuel being used. R&D strongly suggests that AFR tuning be periodically verified using Innovate Products LM1 or LC1 Logging Kit also available from R&D. R&D suggests the tuning the prop pitch and pump cone to achieve 8300-8350 rpm at full throttle. NOTE: The R3 with an 8450 rev limit setup was successfully tested 2 years in a row at the MH300 endurance race, and won podium finishes each times. Part # 803-01503c R3 W/8650 REV LIMIT……Works great for Pro Am Stock Class racing where peak riding rpm range will be 8450-8500. R&D suggests tuning the prop pitch and pump cone to achieve 8450-8500 rpm at full throttle. NOTE: R&D has verified the R3 with an 8650 rev limit produces Pro Stock Top Speeds of 76-77mph.
