Two times world champion Janelle (Barr) Lund relies on the products of JSU Racing. This year (at the World Finals) her husband and race craft builder Parker experimented a lot with the handling function of her craft by modifying the holes on her ride plate. Last years craft was using the same ride plate but it had a hole with a V-shape and an added elliptical contour. This year Janelle used an identical plate which had a rectangular hole at each side. According to Parker and to Janelle these holes enhanced grip at cornering. Additionally, straight line stability got even better. When I rode the craft it seemed to hook a lot better in top speed and its reactions were more predictable at cornering. Though, I believe that Parker has more clever ideas up his sleeve for this season.
