>Yamaha SHO: engine lubrication

It is well known that when you replace the engine oil on a Yamaha four-stroke engine there is a substantial amount of oil that remains into the crankcases (SHO: 1,5liter, FX: 2 liters και VX:2 liters). Therefore, the technician has to fill less amount of oil, for instance you only need 3 litres of oil to the new SHO engine. It is worth mentioning that the oil changes are not recorded to the CPU of the craft. However, what happens to the old oil that remains in the engine (especially after the brak-in period?) and is full of tiny particles? According to the official report of the technical director of Yamaha Greece, the modern engine does not produce such particles during break-in period. Additionally, it does not matter whether you mix different brands of oil in four-stroke engines since the oils meet the same specifications.
