OEM Kawasaki Ultra 250/260 pump shaft has caused failures under certain cirmustances, therefore a modification was invented to prevent this failure. Impros can modify your 2007-2009, and your 2010 OEM Kawasaki pump shaft to help reduce costly damage caused with bearing failure. The modification includes single-point threading the rear end of your shaft on a CNC lathe, and adding a stainless steel nut and washer. Important note: This pump shaft modification is intended as a preventative measure only, in an effort to help reduce costly engine damage sometimes caused upon pump bearing failure. This shaft modification may limit the shaft from "thrusting" forward and allowing the drive assembly to hit the crank. With this nut in place, the rear bearing may also share the load with the front bearing.
