The illustrated product was manufactured lately by R&D and it is a bolt on product for Yamaha FZR. The S-type tube enables the air filter to pass on top of the gas tank close to front of the craft and away from the hot engine. Therefore, the air filter sucks fresher and colder air from the front part of the engine compartment which means that is has greater density. The particular filter was brought to Mike Follmer in order to use it to his Off-Shore Endurance Yamaha FZR. R&Ds new Yamaha FZR air filter will soon be available from R&D.
