Are you looking forward to make your sweet Yamaha running faster than your friends Superstock Runabout. Well, R&D has the right kit for you. Lately R&D personnel have been testing extensively the new kit for the Yamaha FZR platform, a new project that has been developed in order to push the 1800cc FZR engine to the next level, the level that no one has ever approached before. According to Glenn Dickinson of R&D who informed us with the latest information, it is actually a basic, low budget kit that provides unique, drug style performance. Bill Chapin used the OEM pump with a re-pitched impeller, the OEM fuel injectors, a Re-Programmed ECU, an R&D C20 Supercharger wheel (with 20pounds of boost), R&Ds watercooled Supercharger housing, R&D/CP custom made forged pistons and rods, R&D cams and adjustable gears, the new R&D battery system, R&D fuel pump, etc. According to Dickinson the boat runs very fast and it pulls very hard from 40mph to 90mph. It is a real drug toy. We will reveal more information about this kit in the near future and we have already arranged our schedule in order to test ride it. Stay tuned.
