There is a lot of talking about 300X speed limiter and the fact that people are trying all sorts of tricks to unlock its true performance gave us the reason to refer on this matter. Therefore, initially (November 2010) we were informed by KMC that Kawasaki was planning to have the restricted version (66-67mph top speed) for USA and the unrestricted version (-4-5mph in top speed) for the rest of the world. The same confirmation was given to us by Riva too since they got this info from Kawasaki Japan. Though, recently we were informed by Amauri Carlier of PJS in France and a KMC personel that Kawasaki has equipped the 300X with a speed limiter and that is true for all models for every country. In other words you have to select your way to unlock the true performance whether by using an electronic module as those made by Riva or R&D or to put shims between he ride plate and the speedo wheel. Though, prior doing this find out what will happen to the warranty... This is a very important issue.
