There is a lot of talking about the FZR and the latest news about it is that most probably this year will be its last in Yamahas line up. Next year most probably the muscle craft for Yamaha will be the new GP1800 SVHO. It will a revamped version of the VX SVHO. Japanese team HKS was racing for two years a prototype Yamaha hull which was a VX bottom heavily modified. Another team, in the USA, also raced the VX and also it was equipped with two aftermarket hulls from Europe that were never raced. Yamaha USA also got 4 prototype hulls from Japan that were very similar to the hull used by HKS Team. So the scenario is almost completed.
