These pulleys have features that help keep the bearings and the belt running cooler and last longer. The slots help dissipate the heat out of the pulley constantly as its drawn from the bearing. With this heat dissipation the pulleys do not transfer as much heat to the rubber belt and bearing. These pulleys also have belt guides. There are belt guides at the front and rear of the blower pulley. These guides help keep the belt on track and not jump off the pulley.
