The illustrated kit was revealed exclusively on www.jetskiworld.gr a year ago while the initial tests of the Sea-Doo RXP-X 2012-13 were carried out along with R&Ds crew. The R&D Engine Thermostat Kit is designed to lower the engine operating temperature. Engine temperatures on a Sea-Doo 260 engine with performance upgrades can reach 190-195 degrees with the stock cooling system. The R&D Kit changes out the stock thermostat for a new cooler 160 degree thermostat. Cooler engine temperature adds up to a noticeable RPM and top speed gain.
