The hits kept coming in Racine, WI, home of the Grand Prix of Watercross and Mother Nature helped us out on Sunday with spectacular weather and great riding conditions. In the Pro Runabout Open class James Bushell took two moto wins but had boat issues that cost him a finish in moto 2 which opened the door wide for Dean's Team Yamaha rider Abdullha Al-Fadhel to take the overall. The rider from Kuwait actually holeshot the field in moto 3 on board his factory Yamaha and led the first 6 laps before settling into second to protect his victory. Erminio Iantosca had a consistent weekend to take his Judge Motorsports Sea Doo to a second place finish. Eric Francis made a late charge in moto 3 on his Dave's Auto Body Kawasaki to take the final podium position.

In the Pro Ski GP class Rick Sherker led every lap on his Jettribe Bullet boat for the win even with the pressure being applied by Hydro-Turf pilot Rob Flores. "Flo"" finished his weekend in second position with Bill ""Hurricane"" Haig rounding out the top three on his Amsoil Imagination Fabrication Kawasaki."

As always the Pro Runabout Stock class was a drama filled experience. Eric Francis looked good going 1-1-1 for the overall on his Monster Energy Kawasaki. Troy Snyder rode solidly in second in all three motos but after the race he said his Judge Motorsports Sea-Doo was cutting out in the turns which cost him some speed. Dennis Mack worked his Hydro-Turf Factory Yamaha well on his way to a well deserved 3rd place finish.

88motorsport.fi has recently introduced the illustrated set of sponsons specifically designed for the Kawasaki and the new Benelli. The backing plate is made out of special aluminum in order to be strong enough and also to withstand corrosion without needing to be anodized. A set of prototype ones has also been manufactured by a specific type of plastic however it was difficult to achieve a brilliant finish and it was very expensive to produce. This is one of the ways you can possibly secure your watercraft while it remains in the paddock. We have seen in the past other teams using an alarm if the hood or seat was being removed. However, Team Pastorello preferred to wrap it up all round the bond flange and keep the watercraft cover secured. They wouldn’t have done it if something nasty had not had happened in the past…

So how good is Eric Casey Francis in Pro Stock Runabout, Pro-AM Limited or Pro Runabout Open? He is very fast no matter who is next to him. Rainer Cohnen from Luxembourg is selling his Yamaha SHO which is in Pro Stock set up and IJSBA legal for racing in the particular class. Also he has some aftermarket parts for the price of 1800euro. The craft was used this year by him and Jorissen at the Akropolis Jet Raid and Rainer toped the speed of 121kmh. It is FOR SALE for 13.000euro.
