The new V-Drive hull as seen on SX-R (Read all about the V-Drive SX-R hull on Race Tests section) especially designed for the Yamaha deck. The watercraft belongs to Josh Block and Steve Webster has designed the hull and Trinity Composites did the febrication. Stay tuned for more news on this subject.

A spectacular photo from Round 2 in Panama Beach, FL. Need to say more?

Chris MacClugage, Rob Flores and Rick Sherker finished at the podium of Round 2 in the US National Tour. All three were using Bullett Racing V2 Wideboy SX-R hull with a triple-cylinder Kawasaki engine. Bullett Racing which is based in Lake Havasu City, AZ. Young Indonesian rider Aero Sutan Awsar was competing on Troy Snyder’s Pro Stock Sea-Doo and he managed to finish 2nd in first moto of Runabout Class and 5th in second Moto due to loose handlebar botls. Overall Aero finished a solid 4th in Pro Runabout Open which was a great result for the young rider. According to Aero his Jettribe team mate James Bushell was competing on Eric Lagopoulo’s stock Sea-Doo.

The Pro Runabout Open race was a wide open affair with the results in moto 2 turning moto 1's finishes right on their head. The only real consistency came from Brandenton, FL native Jason Russo, if you can call a 5-2-2 finish consistent. He did take the overall on his RIVA Racing Sea-Doo but there was plenty of high drama with eventual second place finisher Abdullha Alfadhel breaking down in moto 2 to post an eighth place finish to go with his two firsts on his Deans Team Yamaha. Erminio Iantosca was in the drivers seat going into moto 3 but he didn't get a great hole shot and was only able to manage a 3rd in the final race which left him on the final step of the podium. This weekend's racing definitely shook up the standings in the open class no matter the final ruling from Lake Charles, LA because James Bushell was only able to manage a fifth on the Sea-Doo RXPX he borrowed from Eric Lagopoulos, so the Hydro-Turf National Championship points race is wide open for this runabout group.
