Joe Caldwell on "Spitfire," and Becky Sternadel on "Nuff Said" on their Lucas Oil Drag Boat World Finals 2012 qualifying runs. According to Joe Caldwell “Worked great. I am at .825 with lots of hull in the water. See had to lock the nozzle at 5 degree because the worn trim cables were causing the nozzle to move up and down at high speed causing a bad bounce. that run in the picture was 10.97 seconds at 89.7 mph. The particular craft was cut in sections in order to be used as a display unit by Kawasaki. Yuji Sato, owner of Sato Engineering owns this model now and he recently posted a few photos on FB. There is no doubt that this is a collector’s item.
