London 6th April, 2012 - Motorsport comes to the centre of Plymouth’s shopping area when Powerboat P1 teams up with Heart Radio in Plymouth on Saturday, 14th April to promote the P1 AquaX Grand Prix of the Sea (19-20 May). Powerboat P1’s popular personal watercraft racing series, AquaX and its stablemate P1 SuperStock arrive in Civic Piazza outside the Guildhall in the city centre with a stunning display featuring AquaX racing skis and the Panther 28SS powerboat. The Heart Angels will be there providing fun for all the family, with face painting for kids and, of course, music from the city’s favourite radio station. There is a fabulous competition with the chance to win a private, behind-the-scenes tour of the National Marine Aquarium plus the opportunity to watch the racing from Powerboat P1’s VIP boat. Simply guess the correct number of Barracudas featured on the P1 SuperStock model race boat on display at the National Marine Aquarium in Coxside and enter the draw for the chance to win the amazing prize package. The competition leaflet also carries a 10% discount for entry to the Aquarium. “Heart is all about excitement, so teaming up with Powerboat P1 and its awesome free-to-watch Grand Prix of the Sea race weekend is natural for the station”, said Programme Controller Richard Spencer. “We’ll also be running our own competition for listeners to win VIP hospitality at the event.” The Plymouth Grand Prix of the Sea has been brought back to the city this year by the City Council to provide entertainment for spectators during the build up to the Olympic Torch Relay on Saturday, 19th May. “People will be able to arrive in the city early and enjoy the races in the Sound and then be in the right place to see the emotional arrival of the Olympic flame into Plymouth”, added Head of City Marketing Matt Cross. Are you TUF enough?” However Champions still have to go to the gym...while a proper stand has to be tough enough to meet the expectations of the new heavier Runabouts. The tour kicks off May 5-6 in Tavares, Fla., and features multiple race sites across the southeastern U.S. Along with the exciting races, classes will be available for racers from beginners to Pro and includes free admission for spectators to most of the events. Closed Course Racing will be in the following cities: Tavares, Fla., Macon, Ga., Myrtle Beach, S.C. and Atlanta, Ga. The HydroDrag circuit and RIVA Racing HydroDrag Finals will be in Polk City, Fla, Atlanta, GA., and Sarasota or Naples, Fla. The particular extenders can be added on any R&D alluminum backing plate in order to increase the craft’s stability at high speeds. These sponsons extenders have tested extensively by R&D research team and additionally they were used under race conditions with positive results. They are made out of billet allouminum and are anodized to withstand corrosion. The R&D sponson extenders have the following part number Pt. #122-01802 and are already available from R&D.

Japanese rider and Kawasaki R&D mechanic/test rider Minoru Kanamori poses with his great collection of Arai MX helmets. Kanamori was sponsored by Arai since he had started his job in Kawasaki Japan on testing motorcycles and ever since then he is been using them on all occasions. This is an old picture since by now he has far more of those ones with really nice paint jobs.
