>Mike Follmer’s FZR on test

Two days prior Mark Hahn’s 300 race we tested Mike Follmer’s Yamaha FZR which was prepared by R&D. Mike Follmer is the only Factory Yamaha personal watercraft rider and he is well known for his great performance on the track as well as his unique character and professionalism on the personal watercraft scene. >Special Forces equipped with PWC

The Special Forces of Greek Army were recently equipped with personal watercrafts in order to be able to patrol and participate to difficult and hard to deal on water operations. Also, these crafts will enable the soldiers to approach shallow waters and perform their tasks as well as to disembark easily and quickly. The particular crafts will be additionally equipped with special anti-ballistic blankets and other heavy artillery specially designed for their operations. >Kawasaki Akashi Factory not affected by earthquake

The following Press Release was sent by Kawasaki Motors Corp., U.S.A. to its dealers: Many of you have called conveying your thoughts and prayers for Kawasaki’s staff and family members in Japan, as well as the hundreds of thousands of Japanese citizens who have been affected by the tragedy. Your concern is both appreciated and heartfelt. The primary disaster area is centered near Sendai, which is 185miles northeast of Tokyo. Kawasaki’s Akashi factory is located 400miles southwest of that location. Fortunately, the Akashi/Kobe area where KHI offices and factory are located did not experience any direct effects from the earthquake. The people of Japan will continue to face immediate hardships; the situation there is changing daily. The companies that operate there, like Kawasaki, will continue to monitor the situation and will be prepared to adjust business operations as dictated by circumstances. >11 countries at the Akropolis Jet Raid

Akropolis Jet Raid has been scheduled to take place in Greece at the end of May. According to Akropolis Jet Raid organization there are already a lot of entries from 11 countries. Riders from the following countries will visit Greece for this new Jet Raid event: GREECE, BELGIUM, FRANCE, GERMANY, CZECHOSLOVAKIA, BRAZIL, ITALY, SPAIN, ALGERIΕ, LUXEMBOURGE, URUGUAY. Soon we will announce the riders that will participate at the Akropolis Jet Raid.

>Slight damages at Hot Water Sports Mag.

Our friend and journalist Toshiyuki Semba from Hot Water Sports Magazine informed us that there were slight damages made at the office of the publishing company on the other hand no one from the staff was heart. Toshiyuki informed us that many Jet Ski businesses that were close to the shore were severely damaged in Japan.

>Everything is fine at Factory-Zero

Recently we contacted Factory-Zero (aluminum ski totes, etc.) in Japan and Mr Imaizumi confirmed that the company was out of danger and all personnel of Factory-Zero is fine. A big relief for the well known Japanese company. Mr Imaizumi informed us that basically the major catastrophes were done in the North part of Japan around Tohoku.
