>Bun Freestyle crankcases

Japanese firm Bun Freestyle has released a new set of crankcases for Yamaha engines. These ones are reinforced in particular places in order to be able to accept further modification to the inner side to accommodate stroker cranks. The picture illustrates the modified crankcases compared to the stock ones. Two times Fumikazu Watanabe used to reinforce the stock crankcases by adding a sub plate underneath. Though, due to the new regulations new crankcases are allowed to be used.

Anya Colley was recently honoured for her achievements by the Royal Yachting Association. On Saturday 7th February champions from the world of powerboat racing converged on the Royal Bath Hotel in Bournemouth for the RYA National Champions gala dinner, to celebrate the national and international successes of the 2008 season. >ADA 989 cylinder for Yamaha

Billet cylinder kit for the Yamaha 701/760 engine. This kit is for use with a 76mm(+8mm) stroker (not included) with Kawasaki 750 rods(133mm/+8mm) and Sea Doo 951 pistons(not included). Bore size is from 89-91mm, starting sleeve rough id is 88.5mm. This kit includes billet cylinder, billet head, spacer plate, domes, sleeves (not installed), girdle studs, head studs, chrome acorn nuts, washers, O-rings, and gaskets. Cylinder will require finish porting by hand, installation of sleeves, and bored to fit desired piston size. Engine size with 89mm bore is 946cc, up to 989cc w/91mm bore. This kit is designed for freestyle and freeride applications, getting maximum engine displacement and allowing for low port duration for high torque applications. >Jet Raid 2009

After several negotiations with different countries like India, Indonesia and Mexico the organization has made the decision to do the next Jet Raid in Brazil. It will be from the 7 to November 15 in the waters of the Atlantic one again. In the official web site www.jetraid.net we will continue informing the riders the advances of the event this week end we will do the launching in the city of PENHA together with the first round of the Brazilian championship. The costs will be similar to those of the last year. We (Jet Raid Organisation) wait you for a new adventure between man and jet ski.

>MoTeC puts the FX SHO to the test

Recently MoTeC tested the factory standard Yamaha FX SHO engine with an M400 ECU, recording significant performance gains of up to 64 HP. The first test measured the performance gained by simply swapping the standard factory ECU for a MoTeC M400. The second test evaluated the potential gains after fitting a number of readily available aftermarket performance parts, in addition to the MoTeC ECU. Fumikazu “Bun” Watanabe apart from being two times world champion in Pro Freestyle he is responsible for the design and manufacture of various part originally oriented for freestyle use. What impressed us most of all is his great attention to every single detail. Lately he released the pictured water bypass fittings that the carry the #1 and Bun logo. It’s the little things that actually impress you.
