The weight of the oem hood of the Kawasaki SX-R is 10.6kg which is quite heavy for a stand-up. Japanese company Technopro has already designed a lightweight version of it that weighs only 4.6kg and it made of carbon fiber. According to Tamotsu Yamada of Technopro the hood will also be available in fiberglass version. The price has not been established yet however it will be announced soon.
