Guy Gee from Australia informs the Freeride community “Australian Freeride Championship sponsored by Jetpilot and DASA with support from AJSP and Jon Cooke Entertainment looks to be happening June 1 ON THE Sunshine Coast more inforation to come out this weekend. This will be a Freeride Day as well as a contest with the top 10 Pro Stand Up racers competing for the Australian Surf Title. Promoted by Gee Racing through the AJSBA and SCJSC. Numbers will be limited to 50 and we look to be having 2 of Americas best riders coming to compete against Australia’s best racers. Guy Gee employee of Watson Racing in Australia won the 2nd Round of the Australian Offshore Triple Crown Series. Just to remind, he had also won the 1st Round and goes fast forward to win the title. He thanks his sponsors in his own words: “Out in the middle of the ocean. It was a great day. Contraband Days, Louisiana Pirate Festival Presents Spike & Splash. LAKE CHARLES, La. (April 16, 2013)-Contraband Days, Louisiana Pirate Festival is introducing a new event the first weekend of the festival, Saturday-Sunday, May 4-5: Contraband Days Spike and Splash at I-10 North Beach. It combines the EVP Pro Beach Volleyball Tour and the Hydro-Turf Watercross National Tour. Southwest Louisiana will be the first stop to kick off their 2013 season and is the only visit in the entire state. The tour features the world's best and fastest professional athletes as well as a contingent of up-and-coming men and women in the highly explosive and exciting sport of personal watercraft racing otherwise known as "watercross." These riders will utilize some of the most advanced equipment and technology to help their watercraft reach speeds of over 80 miles-per-hour. Thousands of racing enthusiasts will be on hand to catch the excitement. At each event, spectators will see athletes compete for top honors, and also have the chance to interact with the pros by participating in contests and promotions. The watercross racing will take place Saturday, May 4, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Sunday, May 5, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The beach volleyball tournament will occur Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The volleyball tournament and Jet Ski competition will be nationally televised on the Beach Sports Network. Frenchman Valentin Dardillat has recently announced his new sponsor, Human Energy Drink. The new Energy Drink Company will support him in his participation to the French Championship as well as to the World Finals too. At the time being Valentin has not announced yet whether he will compete on his last year triple cylinder SX-R or whether he will use an aftermarket hull. He liked a lot the V-Drive SX-R hull made by Trinity Composites however he could not clinch a deal with the American company.

Five times IJSBA World Champion Dustin Motzouris from South Africa recently informed us that he has ordered a Bullett Racing V2 S4 hull prior setting up and preparing his new race craft. Recently he was in Havasu for a trip possibly to negotiate the details. Meantime Dustin has not announced yet whether he will be sponsored by Bullett Racing in 2013.
