Multi National and World Champion Craig Warner, factory pilot of Team Kawasaki Jet Ski Racing made a strong come back at the Wets Coast series first Round which was held in Parker, AZ. Craig puts it in his own words “It was a great weekend. I did not plan on racing ski due to no time on one since last year sometime, but I wanted to test a new design that I have been working on with a fast ski. So I finished the changes Friday before the race and headed out there with it. Amazingly it worked absolutely flawless and made the hull very easy to ride. I honestly could not ride completely to my potential, but I just set a pace above or the same as the field, didn't make one mistake, and just destroyed the field. The hull just worked very well and predictable so it was some what easy, even not riding a ski for some time. I don't want to disclose my changes I made to the hull because it worked so well and made a big difference on a ski with big power. This set up is more focused on the spec 2 hull that is manufactured by myself. My spec 1 hull works very well also, and I will be racing it at the next round. I really enjoyed racing my hull and the way it worked more than any other hull I have ever raced. Looking forward to the next round on the spec 1 hull.”

Guy Gee employee of Watson Racing in Australia won the 2nd Round of the Australian Offshore Triple Crown Series. Just to remind, he had also won the 1st Round and goes fast forward to win the title. He thanks his sponsors in his own words: “Out in the middle of the ocean. It was a great day. Thanks to everyone that helped me out and Gary and Emma Watson, Watson Racing, Worx, Yamaha for the Ski to help win the 2nd Round of the Australian Offshore Triple Crown series.”

Saterdays’s race report from Parker Arizona from Kody Copenhaver, Steve Webster protégée: “Overall solid day of racing took first in Expert Limited and second In pro Ski GP caught up to first but couldn't make it happen. Maybe tomorrow thanks to the main two people that makes it happen, my dad Carl and Steve Webster.”

(April 16, 2013)-Contraband Days, Louisiana Pirate Festival is introducing a new event the first weekend of the festival, Saturday-Sunday, May 4-5: Contraband Days Spike and Splash at I-10 North Beach. It combines the EVP Pro Beach Volleyball Tour and the Hydro-Turf Watercross National Tour. Southwest Louisiana will be the first stop to kick off their 2013 season and is the only visit in the entire state. The tour features the world's best and fastest professional athletes as well as a contingent of up-and-coming men and women in the highly explosive and exciting sport of personal watercraft racing otherwise known as "watercross." These riders will utilize some of the most advanced equipment and technology to help their watercraft reach speeds of over 80 miles-per-hour. Thousands of racing enthusiasts will be on hand to catch the excitement. At each event, spectators will see athletes compete for top honors, and also have the chance to interact with the pros by participating in contests and promotions. The watercross racing will take place Saturday, May 4, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Sunday, May 5, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The beach volleyball tournament will occur Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The volleyball tournament and Jet Ski competition will be nationally televised on the Beach Sports Network. Frenchman Valentin Dardillat has recently announced his new sponsor, Human Energy Drink. The new Energy Drink Company will support him in his participation to the French Championship as well as to the World Finals too. At the time being Valentin has not announced yet whether he will compete on his last year triple cylinder SX-R or whether he will use an aftermarket hull. He liked a lot the V-Drive SX-R hull made by Trinity Composites however he could not clinch a deal with the American company.
