>New Championship in France

Recently we have been informed from France that there is a new concept in Jet Ski Racing, the JETCROSS TOUR JX, which is only for stand ups. Back in 2008 there was also a class only for X-2’s with minor accessories which attracted the riders. More than 100 pilots attended the first race which got positive feedback and in general it was a great organisation. These were the Classes: Ski Promo F2, Ski Promo-AM, Ski Women, Ski Veteran, Ski Junior and Freestyle. Read more about it at www.jetcrosstour.com and watch the video at http://vimeo.com/23312177

>Warner won Dana Point to Avalon

The 3rd Annual Dana Point to Avalon Offshore Race presented by Sea-Doo & Sea-Tow sanctioned by the APBA was a tremendous success despite one of the roughest races in the history of the Triple Crown series! Congratulations to Craig Warner #1 Corona, CA Monster Energy/Kawasaki on the overall win and 1st in Pro-Am Open with a time of 1 hour 10 minutes and 55 Seconds. 2nd Place went to past Triple Crown Offshore National Champion Mark Gerner with a time of 1 hour 15 minutes and 35 seconds. Rounding out the podium in 3rd overall and in the Pro/Am Class was Eric Hardin #5 Anaheim, CA on his Kawasaki Ultra 300X crossing the line just 10 seconds behind Gerner with a time of 1 hour 15 minutes and 45 seconds. Story weather conditions, low visibility, moderate to high swells all made for a rough race that really tested the racers and equipment from start to finish. A big THANK YOU!!! to all of the sponsors that made the event possible: Sea-Doo, Sea-Tow, Kawasaki, Dana Point Jet Ski, Dana Point Shipyard, Mike Follmer Specialties, Gemmell’s. >UAE Jet Ski championship: Dauliach leads Pro Ski

Dubai, round 6 of 7, 2011 UAE JetSki championship. April 16. The race was held a day after the first 2011 RedBull Xfighters in Dubai, on a great spot right by Burj Al Arab hotel, on the open sea offering good waves for hard conditions. Steven Dauliach got the Holeshot in Moto 1, in front of Caumont and Omar Abdulla. Half way, Omar broke his hull and had to stop. Steven got first in front of Caumont and Reiterer. In Moto2, Steven got the holeshot again, putting Reiterer is second place. Reiterer passed Dauliach and later Steven passed him again for the lead. Reiterer crashed and he finally finished third, with Caumont in second and Steven Dauliach on top of the podium again. A great race for the Team XBJ : Omar won in Ski Limited and Steven in Pro Ski. Unfortunately Omar has lost his second place for the third one in Pro Ski class because of his DNF. Pro Ski team XBJ won so far 10 of the 12 motos races and had 11 holeshots. Final round will hold in Abu Dhabi on April 12 and 13.
