The Rock-Star look alike colors and the superb vest were given in the USA for the testing that took place at Body Beach with various companies and Teams. Dustin and Steve always took care of me (Vasilis Moraitis) for many years.

There is a lot of talking about the FZR and the latest news about it is that most probably this year will be its last in Yamaha’s line up. Next year most probably the muscle craft for Yamaha will be the new GP1800 SVHO. It will a revamped version of the VX SVHO. Japanese team HKS was racing for two years a prototype Yamaha hull which was a VX bottom heavily modified. Another team, in the USA, also raced the VX and also it was equipped with two aftermarket hulls from Europe that were never raced. Yamaha USA also got 4 prototype hulls from Japan that were very similar to the hull used by HKS Team. So the scenario is almost completed.

Does it exist? Will it ever see the green light to go in to production? Who knows more about it?

Legendary rider Bob McCord who was one of the pioneer riders testing for Kawasaki back in the 70’s is no longer with us (jet skiers). He left us with so many memories and passion to keep doing what we are all of us doing for this wonderful sport. He was a hard worker and dedicated to the research and development of the early days of jet skiing. R.I.P. Bob.
