>Gyorgy Kasza’s tricky Yamaha FZR

Kasza made a point in GP Runabout Class with his carbon FZR race boat. This race craft was super and we decided to contact Gyorgy in order to find some more information related to his race craft. Therefore, his engine is a big bore Yamaha with 88mm stroke and stock bore. He uses a complete valve train system (Cam, Buckets, springs, retainers, valves, etc) from Webcam and the ports (intake and exhaust) were ported and coated. The oem supercharger was ditched in favors to a Garrett 3582 GTX which was operating with 2 bar boost pressure. Among many of its home made parts Gyorgy uses a special homemade billet pump with an adjustable pump cone and a peculiar steering system. The oem ECU was replaced with a programmable MoTeC M130. He has not put the engine on a dyno get however in terms of performance it needs only 2.5sec for the 0-60mph. The complete hulL, i.e. bottom and deck i.e. well as the steering is made of carbon fiber in Hungary. Bottom weighs 40kg and topdeck 17kg. The engine was prepared by his mechanic Maci. Kasza’s official sponsors for the World Finals 2014 were: Jettrim, Jetpower Hungay, Sververnet and GymCity.
