American company Kommander Industries is working on many interesting projects. One of them is the illustrated JS550 hull-triple cylinder Kawasaki. Kommander Steve Webster is working on placing a tuned three-cylinder SX-R inside this engine compartment. In the past we featured another project of Kommander Ind. where a 800 motor was fit inside the JS550 with a similar PJS style paint job.

The illustrated handlepole is another design of twin-spar pole with great resemblance to RRP’s innovative 2005 model. However it attracts enthusiasts’ attention with its unique design and peculiar shape. Made by alutrailer, a company that is basically specialized on aluminum trailer constructions.

There are not many people out there that they actually are aware of this. California based company Dycorp was most probably the first company that had designed and fabricated a twin exhaust system for the JS550. Back in those days the 550 engine gained 19hp and the exhaust system was designed to operate with stock Kawasaki pump and with OEM or aftermarket waterbox. The only thing that puzzled us was the fact that none of the reputable and top legendary race 550’s used this exhaust system.

This year we had the unique opportunity to participate in the famous race of Mark Hahn 300, in Lake Havasu. R&D and Sea-Doo made it happen and we also had the chance to test and evaluate the new R&D parts for the RXP-X 260 T3. Read the race report from the inside view, published in the Features section.
