IJSBA Racer and top hull/fiberglass designer, Lee Manvell, has become seriously ill. Lee is preparing to have an emergency therapy in the hope that he can spend some more time with his wife and young child. We know this is a really tough time of the year and times are really hard for a lot of us, but one of our own needs our help. Legendary watercraft racer Jeff Jacobs had raced in the nineties this outstanding Kawasaki JS750 that it was prepared by Performance Jet Ski known as PJS. The pictured raced craft featured the same graphics as of his unique PJS550. The designed was inspired by the color scheme of NASCAR. We do not know at the moment whether this craft still exists by anybody.

Last year www.jetskiworld.gr presented the Old Skool Museum (read the story at the Features Section) as a unique feature of the 2010 IJSBA World Finals. The story was very successful and this year we plan to make it even better with more photos and additional features. Gary Hart of Jettrim and Ty McFarland are the major people involved in to it. According to Gary Hart there would be approximately 35 crafts on display. Unique, reconditioned OEM crafts, race crafts and custom made Vintage Jet Ski’s. Among those outstanding Stand Ups that made history in this sport there would be also the first ever Sea-Doo’s produced by BRP (aircooled and watercooled engine) before the inventor Clayton Jacobson II pull off the plug of cooperation between him and BRP since the three year agreement of them had expired. Make sure that you stop by the Vintage Jet Ski Museum at the World Finals.

Jettribe has introduced a new pwc vest with integrated back protector. We have seen it on the company’s new catalogue that will be available during the World Finals in Havasu. Also the vest features a rescue handle on the left hand side which is a unique feature. The price of the new vest has not been announced yet but we hope that it will be much cheaper than the Dainese one that was introduced back in 2006. We look forward to test Jettribe’s new vest in the near future.

This is a reminder for everyone out at Havasu to show up and get a sugar fix while meeting with friends in the PWC family over a beach fire. Yamaha is sponsoring a racer appreciation s'mores party at the Nautical Inn and Resort. Immediately afterwards, Blowsion will be showing their awesome new Freeride tricks and tips video: Fistful Of Foam. The festivities start one hour after racing ends on October 5. See you at The Nautical. Fistful Of Foam is expected to be a very interesting and extreme Freeride film.

IJSBA has secured a new vendor for the 2011quakysense World Finals. Anyone with a long career in racing knows the value of having a good beach stand. There is now a durable new product that overcomes all the weaknesses of yesterday's scissor stands while providing all of the convenience and portability competitors need. Premier Outdoor Products manufactures lightweight, modular and portable boat and PWC lifts (www.theswift-lift.com ). The Swift Lift is the only truly portable lift and will easily breakdown so that it can be transported. We recently introduced a smaller version lift that is suitable for Jetskis. The unique design of the Swift Lift Jetlift is that the modular components allow for quickly adding optional components such as adjustable and interchangeable legs, shop wheel kits, large and small pneumatic wheels, beach and heavy sand wheel kits, removable shop-shelves, winch kits, and ATV hitch assemblies. So the Jetlift is designed to be the solution for servicing, storage, transport and water use of a Jetski. We expect to see and operate those Ski stands at the World Finals and make another report on them.

Take a closer look at the recent Hydro-Turf gear. It has the same colors as the graphics. This is a very nice job that enhances the overall aesthetics of this race craft. Make sure to check the latest mats of Hydro-Turf on their booth at the World Finals.
