>Repainting the past

The illustrated ski is Scott “Hollywood” Watkins’s original Freestyle 1992 race craft. Jet Ski collector Ty McFarland owns it at the moment and restored its original paint job. According to Ty this repaint job has taken almost a year to complete. The paint guy stencils the entire boat to repaint it exactly like the original. It was featured last year at the Old Skool Museum and it will be presented this year again.

>A true gem

This is a Kawasaki JS440 of 1981 which actually still runs pretty well according to his owner Tim Campbell. Campbell will feature this beautifully restored ski at the Old Skool Museum in Havasu during the IJSBA World Finals.

>Affordable 3 cylinder SX-R

We had published a few pictures in the past of Gary Hart’s triple SX-R that was prepared by Steve Webster. Recently we managed to get all Technical Specificaton of this special triple cylinder SX-R. The engine of 1100cc was basically kept to its stock format in order to keep reliability at a high level and fuel consumption at a low one since Gary wanted to run it with pump gas. It top speed is a bit lower of 60mph but it remained a fun to ride craft. According to Webster the craft is very easy to ride and overall is a simple and neat conversion. We plan to publish a story on this craft when we will test ride it in Havasu next month.

>Nedra Atwood took over the Junior Star Program

Junior Star Program was initially started by the Hagest brothers and especially Chris was devoted a lot into this project. To help and give to young riders the basics and what is needed to get in to personal watercraft racing. It is true that the sport needs new blood and only the ones that know what is needed, they can actually dictated those kids. Though, Chris a lot of responsibilities to his main business, Low and Mean, therefore he was looking for a while for someone to support this idea. Nedra Atwood is well known by every single racer who visited Havasu or the World Finals. According to Chris Nedra who is devoted on supporting the sport she will carry on this project. We wish her best of luck on her new responsibilities.
