R&D has recently released the new oval shape air filter that was specifically designed for the new Yamaha VXR. This filter mounts directly to the Mikuni throttle body of the engine and increase fresh air consumption. The R&D filter kit will unleash low-end, mid-range, and peak horsepower trapped in the restrictive stock air box. The exclusive lightweight filter design couples to the OEM throttle body through a tuned built in velocity stack. The engineered oversized Tear Drop plenum, delivers the velocity and cubic air volume needed to add power. Power Plenum Filters generate the maximum airflow and volume. Performs well, sounds good, looks great, and will install in minutes. Kit comes complete with all necessary hardware. If you combine it with a reprogram ECU which alters fuel delivery and ignition timing you get more pout of the 1800cc natural aspirated Yamaha engine. Available already from R&D.

Kawasaki has just released the Ultra 300X at the West Coast dealerships and Jettrim has already introduced its new design of seat covers for the powerful Kawasaki. We actually spotted the very first unit at Body Beach on race prepared Ultra. It featured a pattern of three different materials and also carried extra stitching on top. Jettrim’s new seat cover provides better grip and enhances the overall aesthetics of the new Jet Ski. We expect to see soon Jettrim’s brand new colors for the Red/Ebony color scheme.

According to Chris Manthos, editor in chief “Like many non-profit organizations across our nation, the AWA has faced its share of budget challenges. Unlike some entities, this Association cannot ethically run a deficit, nor incur any debt. In keeping with these sound fiscal policies we were forced to curtail issues and page counts of the member's magazine Ride. Such reductions were as disappointing as they were necessary. As the economy contracted over the past few years, the Association continued to fund Ride PWC Magazine, often at a net loss. Unfortunately, we have reached the same point that our fellow personal watercraft publications experienced recently; we can no longer, under the current economic environment, afford to publish Ride at the expense of our primary role; the PWC communities' access watchdog. There are simply not enough advertising pages to support the expense of the publication.”

We have heard a lot about the European Ultra’s and the latest news talk about the engine’s output. Due to the EEC strict emission laws the European Ultra 300X will produce 290hp but it will still have the same top speed as the American Edition. On the other hand Kawasaki, USA had informed us that the European Edition will not have the governor in the Electronics (that reduces top speed) which means that it could tope 70+mph. We will find out next week.

It was recently presented in Hot Products USA blog spot. The particular craft features a stock SX-R hull that is equipped with a three cylinder Kawasaki engine bored to 1198cc, full modified, with triple 50mm carbs fit on a prototype intake manifold. Graphics were made by Jeff Raudabaugh.

Additionally, TechOneRacer is an official distributor of Quakysense wetsuits, Star Bars and ETS race fuel. Lately the shop incorporates rental boats and pwc for the tourists that visit Havasu.
