WHEREAS, Lake Havasu City, its citizens, businesses and government have been the host to the Mark Hahn Memorial 300 Team endurance race since its inception. This race being the longest continuous Personal Water Craft race in the world and most prestigious event of its kind and brings additional prestige and enthusiasm to the city. WHEREAS, Mr. Mark Hahn was a pioneer and strong advocate of Personal Water Craft endurance racing events and a great ambassador of the sport and the city. Mr. Hahn passed away at the young age of 53 during an event doing what he loved to do. The race is named in his memory by his friend and fellow racer Mike Follmer for his enormous contributions to the sport and attracts riders and teams from all over the world that come to compete in his memory in the Personal Water Craft Capitol of the World.WHEREAS, Lake Havasu City has enjoyed the economic benefits and added prestige of hosting this event in the name of Mr. Mark Hahn and become established as the Personal Water Craft Endurance racing destination where hundreds of competitors gather once a year to celebrate the life and memory of Mr. Mark Hahn and test their endurance in a 300 mile endurance race on our World Class Lake. Now, therefore, I, Mark S. Nexsen, Mayor of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, do hereby proclaim FEBRUARY 26th as MARK HAHN MEMORIAL 300 DAY as Lake Havasu City, its citizens, businesses and government would like to join with the Personal Water Craft enthusiasts in honoring Mr. Mark Hahn on that day.

At the Hot Products, Mr Scott Saito is proofing 250 pages of 2011 Hot Products Catalogue at the moment. It is a very hard and delicate work that requires dedication and remarkable attention in order to avoid making any mistake especially at all these part numbers. He is trying to make complete of 2011 Catalogue by March 15, 2011. According to our inside information most probably there will be a story of Mark Hahn’s 300 2011 story featured in this catalogue.

At least this is what some people do in New Zealand. We actually read more about it in www.jetskifishing.co.nz where Andrew explains all the benefits of going fishing on a personal watercraft. The guys over there actually have a big fishing tournament of these enthusiasts. So going fishing on a pwc is new way to use these water crafts apart from the recreational and race use. APBA Off-Shore sprint Champion Mike Follmer is featured on R&D’s web site. The photo shoot took part in Havasu. Mike Follmer has been a Factory Yamaha pwc rider since 1998 and has won numerous National and regional Endurance titles. He has been sponsored from R&D’s for many years and he has become the “Heart and Soul” of Mark Hahn 300 race that will be hosted in Havasu on the 26th ones again this year.

We have referred in the past to the remarkable Ultra that the Japanese company AMC Racing has brought to the World Finals. Recently it was posted to its blog a new Ultra project that was reaching 100km/h in 40m. Well we may not know the top speed of this Ultra but is sounds very promising. Usually the company fits a Rotrex Supercharger and a Rotax pump to its “Top Gun” race crafts.

This particular test was one of the most exciting tests that were carried out in Havasu last October. R&D has dome plenty of research and development on the FZR power plant as well as on the driveline and has risen the overall performance. Read the complete report under the Race Tests section.
