>Mac goes Turbo

Actually, the Havasu spectators had the opportunity to take a look at Chris MacClugage’s new Runabout that his Japanese mechanic “Chuta” was packing on Pro Sunday. The particular craft was equipped with a new turbo set up prepared by Chuta since MacClugage close cooperation with R&D’s Bill Chapin was discontinued. Chuta had prepared another turbo for Chris back in 2007 World Finals. Hopefully this time everything will go well for Chris’s new set up.

>Light Weight’s new hull

This is the most extreme design on a ski hull we have seen the last three years. The German builder has a great experience in the manufacturing process of carbon/Kevlar materials. In the past we had seen the hull he had made for Mark Sickerling which was a true masterpiece in terms of construction, quality and finish. His latest design illustrates eccentric lines in the transom and foot lifters. There is no doubt that Light Weight made a point at the World Finals with this exceptional Ski hull.

R&D and well known Off-Shore racer Mike Follmer gave us the opportunity to test ride this specially prepared Yamaha FZR which has won many races and is the most wanted Off-Shore race craft in its class.
