>Movie to be filmed at the WF

The IJSBA has just received news that amounts to the biggest thing to World Finals and the sport of pwc racing since, perhaps, the whole thing started. Former World and National Champion (and Hall of Famer as well as Hollywood stunt man, pioneer of the sport, and all around seriously awesome person), Larry Rippenkroeger has had his dream come true with his long conceived movie about pwc racing now picked up and starting into production. If it isn’t enough that Hollywood is making a feature film about pwc racing, they are going to start shooting this year at the 2010 World Finals. Spectators, shopping crowds in the vendor alley, pit activity, and racing will all be captured by the camera lens for use in the movie. Additionally, competitors and their pwc are planned to be picked to stage some starts, turns, and race scenes. Larry Rippenkroeger and producing partners, Kyle Collinsworth and Greg Pellerito will be attending this year’s World Finals accompanied by a film crew shooting footage to be used in a feature film entitled “Hot Water”. Larry Rippenkroeger was one of the pioneers of the sport and possibly the first rider to produce a video tape of how to do freestyle tricks. R&D’s new RC2 Racing Camshaft kit offers a serious boost in horsepower for the racer who wants as much lift and duration that can be safely “Bolted In” without valve guide or spring base machining. The R&D RC2 Cam lobe profile has all of the same features in concept and design as our RC1 recreational lobe, accept for the increased lift and duration. The secret to the R&D cam lobe is in the precision grind finish on the cams base circle and duration at .050”. R&D maintains strict specifications in this area of the cam lobe which is the key to having strong vacuum, a great idle tune, and clean acceleration performance. Overall lobe Lift and Durations are increased to allow as much lift as possible and still run O.E.M. “uncut” valve guides. R&D has improved the lobe profile with “state of the art” technologies that will reduce valve lifter friction and improve valve lifter wear. Rumors say that personal watercraft manufacturers plan to make substantial changes and crucial updates for the upcoming season. Horsepower will be increased to 300hp basically from Kawasaki and Sea Doo. Green Team will release a 2000cc power plant whilst Sea Doo will add one more cylinder to the three-cylinder motor. Yamaha plans to release a more powerful version of the FZR. Additionally, rumors speak about an electric power pwc hitting the market in 2011. Stay tuned...
