This year South African ex world champion Dustin Motzouris had competed in Pro Ski and GP Ski class. Dustin was riding a special carbon hull SX-R in GP Class prepared by Steve Webster of Kommander Industries. We have seen all fine tuning work done during the last week before the event and we rode his Trinity carbon hull SX-R that was equipped with a DASA power valve engine. Since four-strokes came out in pwc scene we have not heard anything about new exhaust systems and Factory Pipe is still selling a lot of these SX-R pipes. Though, someone thought of making a brand new exhaust pipe for Ultra. We have seen this picture at Rogue Jets web site and we are looking forward to hear more about this new project. It nice to see something really new coming up for the Kawasaki four-stroke engine.

This particular sport looking rear seat has been designed by Costantino, a firm that we presented in the past (read all about it under the Features Section). Its new creation scopes to replace the standard heavy OEM rear seat of Ultra that weighs -including the base- 15kg. This sporty seat weighs only 3,41kg and enables the owner to use the OEM rider’s seat. It is available in fiberglass (500euro), carbon (750euro) and carbon/kevlar (750euro) and it bolts on straight without needing any further adjustment. Lagopoulos adds two distance records aboard Sea-Doo watercraft in 2009 by riding 286-miles in six-hours and 880-miles in under 24-hours. Eric Lagopoulos set two new world records by riding his Sea-Doo RXT iS 255 watercraft further than anyone before him, in six-hours (286 miles/460 km) and 24-hours (880-hours/1416 km) to bring the count of world records, accomplished on BRP's Sea-Doo watercraft in 2009, to five. Eric Lagopoulos, a professional personal watercraft racer and model from Sarasota, Florida, set the two endurance marks Thursday, November 12, 2009 on Guinness Book of World Records day joining Mike Pagliccia, Juan Felix Bravo, and Dale Vranckx as riders setting new world records in 2009 on Sea Doo watercraft. Lagopoulos achieved the two world record marks piloting an Action Watercraft (Venice, FL)-backed Sea-Doo RXT iS watercraft around a 20.5-mile loop on the C-54 Canal south of Palm Bay, FL. The first of Lagoupoulos' two world records fell early in the morning on November 12th after overcoming strong winds, dark skies, and scattered rain when he completed 286 miles (460km) at the six-hour mark with his Sea-Doo RXT iS watercraft performing flawlessly. The cold front moved through as Lagopoulos continued to log miles at over 62 mph (100km). After riding over 17 hours with minimal stops and the sun setting, Lagopoulos was satisfied with bettering the previous mark by nearly 100miles, and finished with 880 miles (1416km).

It is obvious that Team Kawasaki run out of luck this year at the World Finals. Though, Craig Warner proved just another year that he is the man to beat in Pro Runabout Open. He won the Qualifier, Moto 1 and he was ahead in Moto 2 until he faced a mechanical issue on lap 8. Still the package Kawasaki/Warner were in a class of their own although they use the same engine recipe for 4 years. Read all about it in our exclusive test and report under the Features section.

Japanese exclusive Importer of Rick Roy Products "RICKTER", Sansei International, Inc/Hot Products Japan had Test-ride of RICKTER to the public at the lake Hamanako in Japan on Nov 15, 2009. About 20 riders and free style riders enjoyed their test riding of RICKTER. Those riders mentioned "Although Hull is short, the hull is surprisingly stable" "Hull is so light and it is very easy to control". Also, they said "I like the position of Pivot ho Handle Pole which make it easy to control". Like you see in the picture, most riders came back shore with a big smile.
