The pictured drop nozzle looks similar to the Bullet/Marine-Riva drop nozzle that was very popular a few years ago and it was used by several riders and Teams on STX-R’s ad 15F’s (Team Kawasaki still uses them). Though, no one could find them on the market for the last 3 years until, someone, well known for producing replica parts, decided to bring it back on the market. This particular nozzle was modified to fit on Ultra pumps (Skat-Trak) and it will produced in the near future by TBM.

Rius Racing FZR steering system The pictured steering system is manufactured by billet aluminum and is anodized to resist salt attack. It is a heavy duty steering system that provides better mobility and higher strength under heavy loads and aggressive riding. These were the coolest graphics we saw at the World Finals and were featured on Emi’s and Minoru’s race crafts. A closer look is enough to make you realize that these graphics are not the thin, vinyl quality ones but the thicker MX type graphics that you usually see on MX and Enduro bikes. According to Minoru these ones were made in Japan by a close friend of his and they stick so well that you need extra care and attention when you stick them first time. This was another unlucky World Finals season for Rius Racing since Nicolas was disqualified from main event due to an inappropriate water fitting. Though, after I rode his Turbocharged FZR I paid him a visit not only to discuss the technical details of his race craft but to find all about his renewed business as well as the new parts that has available for race prepared Yamaha’s and S4’s. Soon, we will present the whole line up of Rius Racing products.

Lake Havasu City is the research and development base of R&D Company. This year the well known company has been working in a close cooperation with MoTec in order to develop performance packages for the FZ series. We tested all R&D race crafts (Pro Stock, Limited and Open) and we will soon present a full documented report for the performance and the spec details of these crafts. During the World Finals Slippery placed a BBQ for their athletes and press. We were happy to meet some of the pioneers of the sport like Victor “The Slasher” Sheldon, Minoru Kanamori, Chris “The Flying Fish” Fischetti and Jeff “Kamikaze” Katz under the Parts Unlimited hospitality. We proposed to photo shoot all these athletes along with the young guns that promise a lot for the future of this sport.
