>Kawasaki Ultra Turbo update

This is the race craft that most people talked about during the World Finals without having seen it how it performed in the water… According to Chris MacClugage “Bill Chapin of R&D and Lee Manvel (the hull builder) have tested the ultra and had good results for an initial test at 10psi (boost pressure) that showed a top speed of 76mph at 8.350rpm. But this is only a start, since the supercharged edition was showed 75mph with 14psi so I think turbo has great potential. Remember the ignition is stock still!”

>Special Rods for Ultra 250

These connecting rods are made in Japan by a company called Potential. These are light weight reinforcement, high performance connecting rods for Ultra250X, and 15F. They are more durable than OEM Connecting Rod and they increase reliability while minimising moment of inertia. The OEM rods weight 442g while the Potential weight only 368g. These high performance rods will soon be available from Hot Products USA.

>A Suzuki engine in a pwc

This is the first time we ever see an actual Suzuki in line four-stroke motorcycle engine is used on a pwc. It is a 1400cc, natural aspirated engine, with an EFI system made by Bosch, home made look alike alterations and produces 130hp. The pwc was spotted in Greece, though it is made by the Chinese company, Haining SPV Vehicle Manufacturing Co., Ltd. The overall quality and finish is very low as well its price. It costs 6.500euros which means that is as cheap as 4000euros less than the Yamaha VX110 (the cheapest pwc in the Greek pwc market at 10.500euros)…

Eric Malone Enterprises recently released a new freestyle race craft which featured a brand new hull design and a revamped engine set up. The two hulls were used by the new team riders, Antony Burgess and Lee Stone to the team’s debut at the World Finals in Havasu. Among their new features it is easily to distinguish the adjustable handlepole pivot bracket as well as the very short length of the hull.
