R&D RXP-X 2.5 Degree Wedge Kit

The R&D 2.5 Degree Reduction Nozzle Wedge Kit for the new Sea-Doo RXP-X has been designed, developed and tested extensively in all types of flat and rough water conditions to ensure that there would be no compromises any where in the Sea-Doo RXP-X’s handling performance. Extensive testing has led R&D development team to wedge the reduction nozzle up 2.5 degrees, which will inexpensively give the Sea-Doo RXP-X better handling everywhere and provide a boost of up to 1 mph in top speed performance. In fact, a much smoother and more predictable ride will be noticed, along with the reduction of annoying bow spray. The billet aluminum CNC machined 2.5 degree reduction nozzle wedge kit was specifically designed to work with the OEM O.P.A.S. and Sea-Doo VTS systems. The R&D Sea-Doo RXP-X Pump Wedge Kit comes complete with the necessary adjustable billet VTS trim rod and billet steering cable extender. A smoother, more enjoyable, dryer, faster ride only from R&D.

>K38 Japan and Maris at Yokohama Boat Show

Maris included in the Yokohama On Water Demonstrations, 2 days inclusion for K38 Japan to produce exhibitions of training elements that students receive to better prepare them for real world rescue situations. Instructors Kazu and Simon operate the Rescue Water Craft, and myself as we role played through various conscious and unconscious victim recovery drills to the boat show attendees. K38 Students Yugi and Eigi volunteered to role play as our victims during the Saturday and Sunday exhibitions. Yuji was my victim, complete with a bloody nose from earlier in the morning, with all the blood he was spilling I think our scenario looked good enough for real life, we laughed about it as I washed the blood off the rescue board. It was a lot of fun, and great to work with such wonderful people. After that, it was off to the boat show and to walk the aisles.

>K38 Japan-First Training Course

The K38 Way of Training was on its inaugural launch in Japan. 2008 shows promise as students registered to take the 3 day training course, with less than favorable weather conditions. True to the Japanese spirit, not one student complained about the cold, all were focused and patient with the language translations. The inaugural training program was a success based off of the student participation and with support from Maris. Bombardier supported the training program with Sea Doo's for our training boats. The program focused on technical handling skills, which is easier said than actually done. Students took notes, watched training movies, an enjoyed group lectures that focused on successful use of the RWC for technical applications in field work. Confined spaces and tight quarters maneuvering challenged their ability and familiarity with the craft. Rescue Boards were used on the 3rd and final day of training. Many of the students are ex JJSF racers who now work at competitions and as course marshals. Students’ role played as rescuers, operators and patients throughout various skill building sets that allowed them to first become accomplished with their slow speed operations. As their comfort level rose, the skill sets increased. I really enjoyed being in group with this class, they were great people to work with and we shared a lot of humor despite that there was a significant language barrier. Lifesaving is an international Language!

>A pwc assignment from a student

First grade high School student Valia MAlamatini, daughter of pwc racer and national champion Konstantino Malamatini prepared an assignment about personal water crafts for the Technical class. She gathered information from Jet Ski World, Kawasaki Importer Teomoto S.A. and various other sources in order to accomplice her objective. Her assignment is a remarkable example not only for its difficultness but for the fact that shows the athletic spirit and mentality within the family (her father is a pwc racer).
