Yamaha honored by composites Industry for development of revolutionary NANOXCEL? hull and deck material. November 12, 2007 - KENNESAW, GA - Yamaha Motor Corporation, USA received the composites industry's prestigious Excellence & Innovation Award for the company's development of its exclusive nano-engineered NanoXcel? hull and deck material that dramatically decreases the overall weight of Yamaha WaveRunners? while increasing strength and durability. The award was presented to Yamaha by Composites Manufacturing magazine and the American Composites Manufacturers Association. The award recognizes outstanding achievements by companies in categories that include composites engineering and manufacturing process. "We are honored that that composites industry recognizes Yamaha's investment in the areas of product development and manufacturing," said Yamaha WaterCraft president Mark Speaks. "We will continue to make significant investments in all areas of our business that add value and enjoyment for our customers."

Christophe Girello chief mechanic of Rius Racing was helping out Dustin Farthing with the handling issues of his two Ski’s. One of them was equipped with an oversized two stroke engine. The pictured ride plate was the composite OEM plate of the S4 that was heavily modified by Girello with a B.Chapin pattern of holes in order to enhance rear end grip and straight line stability. Girello had also modified an aluminum ride plate for Farthings second Ski. According to Girello Rius Racing plans to produce an intake grate and a ride plate for the S4. The later one will be made off aluminum or composite.

Yamaha importers Motodynamics S.A.A. in Greece has released recently the price list of the 2008 model line up: GP1300R=13.720, FX SHO Cruiser= 18.250, FX SHO=17.500, FX HO Cruiser=15.920, FX HO=15.170, VX Sport=10.270, VX Deluxe=11.450 and VX Cruiser=11.600. Prices are in euro including tax.

Sea Doo importers Petropoulos AEVE in Greece has released recently the price list (prices are in euro) of the 2008 models: GTI 4TEC 130hp=12.500, GTI 4TEC SE 130hp=13.450, GTI 4TEC SE155hp=14.500, GTI 4TEC W/B155hp=17.200, GTI 4TEC W/B215hp=18.950, GTX 4TEC 155hp=15.950, GTX 4TEC 215hp=18.200, GTX 4T Limited 215hp=20.700, RXT 215hp=18.500, RXT-X 255hp=20.500, RXP 155hp=14.900, RXP 215hp=17.400 and RXP-X 255hp=19.200.

During the World Finals there was an Ultra 250 at the Riva booth which was equipped with a brand new rear seat. This particular one was designed in order to replace the bulky and heavy OEM seat for the third passenger. It is lightweight and scopes to enhance the aesthetics as well as to reduce the total weight of the craft. According to Dave Bamdas the new seat will be available in the near future. The demanding rider might also make a rear whole in order to allow the hot air to come out from the engine compartment.

The new Yamaha musclecraft was finally shown in Greece at the Athens International Boat Show. The particular WaveRunner has the largest four stroke production engine 1812cc and additionally it is equipped with a Supercharger. Yamaha claims that the horsepower of the new engine unit reaches the 210hp though it out performs the competition (Kawasaki Ultra and Sea Doo RXT-X). The new SHO will be available in the Greek market in January at a price of 18.250euro.

Recently MaccRacing has released a new trigger throttle in the market that is available for every pwc and can be used respectively with the right cable adaptor. Its design has a great resemblance to the SE trigger lever that was released last year by the Japanese company. They are anodized to prevent corrosion and its angled design provides extra grip.
