R&D started off with the KAWASAKI Ultra 310X dampener, and worked from there re-designing the lug profile to offer a precision fit to the dampener. The R&D billet aluminum design allows perfect engine to driveshaft coupler alignment, and delivers maximum strength and balance for high horsepower Kawasaki four stroke engines. The R&D 1600cc Engine Kit for the SX-R was developed specifically for the UIM Racing Series where “Big Bore” Kits are allowed in the N.A. classes. R&D starts with an OEM Cylinder Block and precision bores the block to 85mm replates the bore (rechromes), and finish hones to specification. R&D has worked with CP exclusively to develop Forged 85mm Racing Piston Kits. R&D offers high quality forged aluminum, heat treated, and CNC machined racing pistons in 12.5-1, 13.5-1. The R&D Kawasaki SX-R Pro Series “Twin Fin” Racing Billet Sponson Kit works as an optional and removable additional stabilizer blade that mounts flush with the hull, and to the inside of the backing plate. The Twin Blade concept will add a substantial additional amount of rear end grip and straight line stability necessary for aggressive limited through 200 plus H.P. engine packages!
