Was set yesterday March 25th as the annual Jet Ski FUN RUN vent hosted 67 Jet Skis and 21 boats. It was another amazing and successful event that scopes to enlarge the Jet Ski community in the Philippines and bring people together to socialize in a unique outstanding atmosphere. BJ Ang of Networx Jetsport from Subic Bay Freeport Zone mentioned that the new record shows that the personal watercraft community get bigger every year. R&D has developed an inexpensive foam engine insert that installs under the engines oil pan and takes up the tight space between the hull and oil pan. The gap between the engine pan and hull on the SX-R is very tight! Some areas are as tight as 0.250 (1/4 inch)! Small nuts or 6mm bolts that may get dropped or come loose for any reason can get under the engine and get trapped! Very difficult to find or remove! If left un-noticed, a fracture or small hole could get punched to the pan causing oil leakage, as well as hull damage! “Not Fun”! The R&D Foam Engine Insert will keep small hardware or debris from getting to these areas. The R&D Foam Insert is Chemical and Fuel Resistant, and can be cleaned with any degreaser cleaner and Re-Used just like a serviceable air filter. The weight of the oem hood of the Kawasaki SX-R is 10.6kg which is quite heavy for a stand-up. Japanese company Technopro has already designed a lightweight version of it that weighs only 4.6kg and it made of carbon fiber. According to Tamotsu Yamada of Technopro the hood will also be available in fiberglass version. The price has not been established yet however it will be announced soon.
