The new R&D Billet Steering System was developed and tested during the 2009 APBA/IJSBA National and World Championships and is a proven winner in design and performance. R&D’s Billet design offers superior strength and lighter weight over the OEM steering system. Utilizing a 7/8” MX handlebar, allows the rider to personalize the bar setup to their liking. R&D chose the 7/8” diameter bar type over the Fat bar, because of the space watercraft bars need for start/stop switches, VTS switches, and custom trim lever systems. When using fat or taper bars, the bar widths are forced wider than comfortable in a watercraft application. R&D offers two types of Handlebars for the new billet steering system, MX Low for short to average height pilots and MX high for taller pilots. Handlebars sold separately. Αναμφισβήτητα, αποτελεί ένα από τα πιο πολυσυζητημένα σκάφη της TeamMotoRacing κι ο Skip Holmes είναι περήφανος για την κατασκευή του. Η επιχείρηση του Dustin Farthing είναι η μόνη προς το παρόν που μπορεί να ετοιμάσει kit με Vortech Supercharger για τα μοτέρ των Ultra. Το κιτ περιλαμβάνει: “H” Trim Supercharger, Bracket, Idler, Upper Pulley, Lower Pulley, Belt, Tensioner, Intercooler, Intercooler Pipes & Brackets. Το κόστος του αγγίζει τα $5.500 και είναι ήδη διαθέσιμο. Φυσικά, ο Fathing δεν μας έχει αναφέρει τί παίζεται με την ECU μια και η Vortech αναφέρει ότι χρειάζεται διαφορετική μονάδα που μόνο η εργοστασιακή Kawasaki διαθέτει προς το παρόν.

Το εικονιζόμενο είναι το καινούργιο open loop cooling system (ανοιχτό κύκλωμα ψύξης) της Riva το μοναδικό της αγοράς των aftermarket αξεσουάρ που διαθέτει θερμοστάτη. Ο θερμοστάτης είναι τοποθετημένος σε ξεχωριστή θήκη από τορνευτό ανοδιωμένο αλουμίνιο και είναι ασφαλείας δηλαδή, μένει ανοιχτός σε περίπτωση ζημιάς ή υπερθέρμανσης. To συγκεκριμένο kit περιλαμβάνει όλα τα απαραίτητα εξαρτήματα για την μετατροπή και τοποθέτηση καθώς επίσης ανόδιο και εξάρτημα για πλύσιμο μετά από τη χρήση του σκάφους σε θαλασσινό νερό. Αξίζει δε να σημειωθεί το γεγονός ότι το αναβαθμισμένο κιτ της Riva παρέχει καλύτερη ψύξη στον κινητήρα ειδικά κατά τους καλοκαιρινούς μήνες που η θερμοκρασία του νερού είναι υψηλότερη αυξάνοντας τις στροφές του μοτέρ κατά 100σ.α.λ. Σύμφωνα με την αναφορά της Riva αν συνδυαστεί με το ride plate της εταιρείας κι ανάλογα με το στάδιο βελτίωσης μπορεί α δεις κανείς αύξηση στην τελική ταχύτητα μέχρι και 4mph. Απ΄όσο γνωρίζουμε η Riva Racing δεν εμπορεύεται πλέον τα Vortech Supercharger kit ωστόσο, αν κάποιος ψάχνει κάτι αντίστοιχο για το Kawasaki του σίγουρα θα χρειάζεται το αντίστοιχο μπρακέτο ή βάση για να το τοποθετήσει με σιγουριά κι ασφάλεια. Γνωστός κατασκευαστής aftermarket αξεσουάρ πρόσφατα παρουσίασε το εικονιζόμενο μπρακέτο. Μπορεί μεν να μπορείς κανείς να το αποκτήσει αλλά το θέμα είναι που θα βρει τα υπόλοιπα καλούδια καθώς επίσης τον σπέσιαλ ιμάντα που απαιτείται.
