Fuzzy is one of the greatest riders in the surf and he was well known for his spectacular moves and tricks back in the nineties. He is a engineer working and developing parts in Kawasaki, KMC. He appeared in Body Beach to rest ride some crafts and he had a go on Rickter’s new XF-S hull as well as on Trinity Composites new Vector V-Bottom hull.

Kommander Industries and Trinity Composites sponsored rider Mark Gomez tested Rickter XF-S by Ninja hull at Body Beach right after the World Finals. Gomez is satisfied very much by his Trinity Freeride craft however he mentioned that this was a unique opportunity to test other people’s boats.

After winning Pro Ski Open Frenchman Steven Dauliach appeared at Body Beach for testing Rick Roy’s new Rickter XF-S Ninja hull and motor package. After a few minutes the young rider managed to do his first ever Rickter Invert (i.e. back flip). A fact that shows that the new Rickter hull can turn anyone to a Freestyle rider.

Pro Ski Class riders have to complete three motos this year and the third one was the toughest for all riders. Brice Lopez got in the lead however the title was played between Dustin Motzouris and Steven Dauliach. Motzouris was after Lopez and he did his best to pass him but in this tight course it was very difficult to make such a move. Rius slow down a bit and let Dauliach to pass in third place in order to give him a chance to hunt for the World Title. This generous move of Rius soon paid of for Dauliach since he caught up with Motzouris and Dualiiach made his final move in the log jump. Lopez finished first in 3rd moto however Dauliach won his 4rth IJSBA World Title in Pro Ski. Dustin Motzouris who already won GP Ski had to settle for second overall.

Roc “The Helicopter” Floranjic finally won the IJSBA World Title in Pro Freestyle after perfecting a great routine. The guy introduced the helicopter trick two years ago however the “Racing Politics” which took place did not give him a chance to win. This year he managed not only to outperform himself but also to give the first IJSBA Freestyle World Title to Rickter, the company which is heavily involved in to manufacturing Freestyle hulls and ready to go boats. A great success for Rick Roy’s company as well as of all his Team-mates that got involved in to this new project of Rickter XF-S Ninja hull.

Kawasaki’s R&D rider and tech guru Minoru Kanamori finished 3rd Overall in Pro Runabout Stock. A very important finish for Kawasaki who had two riders in the podium, Eric Francis in No1 spot and Minoru in 3rd. However, Minoru’s Ultra got very popular and many enthusiasts wanted to buy it right from the paddock area of World Finals. We rode it exclusively on Pro Saturday afternoon and the complete has been published in the Race Tests section.

This is a nice example of how high was the level of competition in Pro Ski Class. And just simply bear in mind that this was the Heat Race. Brice Lopez and Chris MacClugage put a hell of a show. Imagine what is going to happen in the real motos
