>Mac wins Pro Stock Class on Yamaha FZR

Aboard his Yamaha FZR™, Chris MacClugage dominated the Pro-Am Runabout Stock class at the APBA? National Tour races held in Parker AZ May 2-3, 2009. MacClugage took all 4 Pro-Am Runabout Stock Class Motos over the two days of racing, leading the races from the starting gun to the finish line. These victories, at the first races of the year, are particularly important as they point to the future potential for the all new Yamaha FZR on the closed course, especially as it outperformed competitive boats that have been wrenched on and raced for years. “We’ve dreamed about the potential for this boat since we first heard rumblings about its creation,” MacClugage said after the wins. “To come out here this weekend, and hold the lead for 4 races against these legacy pwc shows we’re on to something. Macc Racing has just started to crack the potential for this engine and hull.” “Stock class boats are the closest to production specs that are raced and the inherent platform capabilities of the FZR made it our clear choice for the stock class,” said Bill Chapin of R&D Performance Products. “The results of this race confirm what we knew all along – that the FZR is the most competitive stock class model to date.”

>HSR-Benelli Information

HSR-Benelli’s recent announcement regarding its progress and issues due to the global economic crisis: “HSR-Benelli as a small upcoming company is on the one hand a bit outstanding .In an early stage of market development comparable small figures has been forecast. However, the last weeks confirmed that the market situation is also influencing our business. As long as we want to develop a stable business our reduced economic scale forces us to take some quick strategic decisions. These decisions do cover major subjects of marketing mix. Regarding products we decided to concentrate on PWC’s that had a larger demand by our customers. We therefore abstain from models with smaller production volumes. The following products are kept on the 2009 range: S4 /S4 pro, Series-S Pro Edition & Race Edition, Series-R Naked Edition & Pro Edition. We do really regret to postpone the introduction of the Series-R V6 models again but the actual business does not make it affordable to introduce this wide range in 2009. We are aware that this is disappointing and we are even more sorry knowing about the great performance of our pre-production units. This also led us to make some changes on our internal structure. Therefore, we would like to inform you about the new people in charge of main tasks at HSR-Benelli.”

>MATRIX Pro (Carbon/Kevlar Epoxy Resin Hull)

Trinity Compsites MATRIX Pro hull construction process comes from the company’s extensive knowledge in aerospace technology. It starts with three layers of an epoxy primer providing a light and fracture resistant surface. Next they precisely laminate this hull. A combination of carbon fiber and kevlar fabrics are placed in molds engineered exactly to specifications. Composite fabrics are infused with aerospace grade high temperature epoxy resin. This resin provides a higher tensile strength than any other available today. The final step in lamination is to vacuum bag the components. This provides laminate consolidation resulting in a lighter and stronger product. Once the components are fully cured they are removed from the mold and inspected. Satisfied with the quality, the components are then glued together with the best methacrylate structural adhesive and secured with quality hardware. Using this controlled process the company is able to ensure that every MATRIX hull is of the same caliber as the next. Hull comes complete including: footholds installed, pump shoe, dual cooling, trim tube, one scupper valve and hood with OEM seal. Standard hull configuration includes mounting hardware required for SUPERJET stock water box, tank and electrical box bracket. Available from Trinity Compsites at $7.999.99.
