>Mark Hahn 300: Webster report

Owner of Kommander Ind. Steve Webster participated in Mark Hahn 300 endurance race that was held in Havasu for 5th year in a row. As a professional that he is, Steve update us with an interesting report about how everything worked out in the race, “Our team was Me, Brittanie (my wife) and Sean Workman. We road in the Open Ski class. Our ski was basically stock class ski that I bought about 4 days prior and only road it one time for about 15 minutes. Even with the lack of preparation the ski ran great and we had a blast. The morning conditions where brutal with 20-25mph winds and 2 to 4ft chop on the water. Just like the conditions on Saturday at the World Finals! As the day went on the wind slowed and the conditions got better but it was still rough. Sean and I did like 22 laps and had a blast doing it. We ended up with the unofficial result of 2nd place. (I am sure we won and they are checking the scoring sheets to verify for us!). In any case this race is not about winning or loosing but paying homage to a great competitor and solider for the sport of personal watercraft. Mark was a super nice guy and had a great passion for the sport and is and will always be missed.”

>Lake Ellsinore race: Webster report

The weekend went well! Our Expert rider got 2nd place. My good friend and Web designer Sean Workman showed at the event to drop off some product for me and I convinced him to race the ski that I had build for Steven Dauliach for the Finals. It was pretty fun since he had not ridden a ski since his last race at the world finals in 2006. He hole shotted the first moto and lead most of the race until he hit a course marker and went down. He got up and ended up finishing 2nd place in the first moto. He was so tired after the first race that he had to lay in the back of the trailer for 3 ours until the second moto. The second moto he holeshotted again and lead the entire race and won the over all. We had a great time and the event went very well. Its good to see Workman coming back in action. Good job and we hope he will show up at the next race...

>Hot Products USA 2009 catalogue

Mr Scott Saito, owner of Hot Products USA, recently informed us about the new, 2009, catalogue that he plans to release for his company. Hot Products is probably the largest distributor of pwc parts, aftermarket goodies and accessories in USA. The company celebrates its 25th anniversary and has given special attention to the design of the front and rear cover of the catalogue which, to our opinion, it attract the attention with innovative design. Franky Zapata is featured on both covers, a proof, that Hot Products USA will be a distributor of Zapata Racing parts, a deal that we had first published in this web site during the World Finals of 2008. The new cataloque will be finalised in a months time prior being available fot dealers and customers.

>Dustin Motzouris opens Kawasaki motorcycle dealership

“In November I was granted the Southern African franchise for USA based Jet Ski Unlimited, with whom I have a long and happy relationship. They manufacture their own range of accessories for Kawasaki Jet Skis, and I’ve long been involved in developing new products for them. After I was granted their franchise I moved my Kawasaki Jet Ski business into my Jet Ski Unlimited store, and left my motorcycle accessories division, Fast Racing, operating on its own. Now, with my Kawasaki motorcycle business, I’ll be running the motorcycle accessories and sales together as Fast Kawasaki, and the Jet Ski stuff under the Jet Ski Unlimited banner. They’ll all share the premises that were previously North Coast Kawasaki at 40 Dollar Drive in Richards Bay’s CBD”. You will be able to reach Dustin through the following web sites: www.kawasakisa.co.za or www.jetskiunlimited.co.za
