>Florida Man Completes 24-Hour Ride On Sea-Doo Watercraft

Mike Pagliccia of Naples, Florida rode his Sea-Doo GTI SE 130 watercraft 624-miles in 24-hours November 7th -8th. Mike Pagliccia has challenged the water numerous times with his last feat most likely landing him in the Guinness Book of World Records. Pagliccia recently rode his Sea Doo? GTI™ SE 130 watercraft further in 24-hours than anybody before him, covering 624-miles along the southwest coast of Florida. Pagliccia’s previous exploits include living in a life raft for two weeks and being submerged in a water tank with diving gear for 48 hours to raise money for the Naples YMCA. The trek began at 7 AM on Friday, November 7th in effort to beat the existing record of 604 miles. Pagliccia choose to chase the record aboard a Sea-Doo GTI SE 130, world renown for its reliability, durability, and excellent fuel economy. The attempt was momentarily in jeopardy as Pagliccia had to recruit the assistance of some beach goers to remove a floating plastic bottle from the water jet-pump intake. If not for this slight delay, the record would have most likely surpassed the old record by more than the 20-mile buffer Pagliccia recorded. Regardless of the demanding ride, both Mike Pagliccia and his Sea-Doo watercraft finished the adventure at 7AM, Saturday, November 8th in perfect condition. Pagliccia follows fellow adventure rider John Moffatt who in 2007 set the World Record for continuous distance on a watercraft by riding his production Sea Doo GTX† watercraft an amazing 11,525-miles in four months, a usage time frame equal to what would normally take an average owner 13 years to accumulate. Given extensive coverage by the local media, Mike Pagliccia raised over $5000 for the Naples YMCA as supporters were able to follow his 624-mile trip via GPS mapping on his web-site. >Kawasaki Ultra Turbo update

This is the race craft that most people talked about during the World Finals without having seen it how it performed in the water… According to Chris MacClugage “Bill Chapin of R&D and Lee Manvel (the hull builder) have tested the ultra and had good results for an initial test at 10psi (boost pressure) that showed a top speed of 76mph at 8.350rpm. But this is only a start, since the supercharged edition was showed 75mph with 14psi so I think turbo has great potential. Remember the ignition is stock still!”

The pwc was spotted in Greece, though it is made by the Chinese company, Haining SPV Vehicle Manufacturing Co., Ltd. The overall quality and finish is very low as well its price. It costs 6.500euros which means that is as cheap as 4000euros less than the Yamaha VX110 (the cheapest pwc in the Greek pwc market at 10.500euros)…
