TechOne Racing has recently released a new carbon fiber plate which is very easily modified (adjusted). The shape of this ride plate provides better grip at cornering while the special hole increases hook up and enhances grip and straight line stability. The ride plate is accompanied with a particular plug in order to shut the hole. The T1R carbon ride plate costs $225 and is available from techoneracing.com

The following are the default displacements (and maximum displacements) for the Runabout Classes: All Runabouts shall have an overall displacement no greater than 2000cc. If the displacement exceeds 1600cc then the maximum displacement shall be the OEM displacement of that model plus the additional volume created by a single overbore of each cylinder. The IJSBA shall publish the displacements once calculated. According to IJSBA the new Rule book will be released in first of Feb.

TechOneRacing and Kawasaki USA are going to cooperate and form a new team in order to participate in the European Tour as well as in the World Finals. The team plans to built and prepare a carbon hull Runabout for the GP Runabout class and the rider will be no other than last year’s world champion of the GP Runabout Dustin Farthing. This means that Farthing’s retirement has lasted only three months.

A new safety and security system has been released from HSR-Benelli for all new models of Series-S and Series-R. Each craft is accompanied by a magnetic card (actually two cards: the Learning card and the Full Power card). By using each of them, the rider can activate them on his/her craft. Each craft has its own cards and these can not be used on any other HSR-Benelli craft. This unique safety and security system is used for the first time in personal water crafts.

The evolution and development of Two Stroke Technology in PWC has somewhat come to an end. There are absolutely no indications that any new Two Stroke powerplants are to be designed or put into a new PWC model. This has no bearing on the fact that the Two Stoke powerplant are still the most used in the Ski Classes and that this trend will likely continue through out 2008. Therefore IJSBA plans the following in terms of displacement: Normally Aspirated Two or Four Stroke: 1100cc; Super/Turbocharged Two or Four Stroke: 800cc. Also, aftermarket cylinders with power valves will be permitted for use.

The Austrian based company recently released the pricelist and the availability of the new line up. Therefore, the prices are: S4-9.785, S4 Pro Ed.-10.985, Series S Pro Ed.-13.990, Series S Race Ed.-16.490, Series R Naked Ed.-11.250, Series R Pro Ed.-13.500, Series Prestige-17.900 and Series R Race Ed.-19.900. The S4 is already available and all models of the S- Series will be available from March. As far as the new Runabout is concerned, the Naked and Pro will be released in April and the rest (Prestige and Race) in June/July. The prices do not include VAT and transportation costs.
