>R&D Race Report: Jettribe Lake Perris Endurance Grand Prix

Lake Perris, California 3/22/14: Mike Klippenstein Wins with R&D T1 Turbo System The inaugural Lake Perris Endurance Grand Prix marked the début of the new 2014 Yamaha FX SVHO watercraft equipped with the new R&D T1 Turbo System. The Grand Prix race event consisted of two one hour plus 1 lap moto’s on a 5 mile course. Running the T1 Turbo on recommended 91 octane gas at wide open throttle for over 2 hours with speeds exceeding 80 mph, Mike ran away from the competition, lapping the field in both moto’s in route to a very convincing victory. This victory marks the first of many for those competing with the new R&D T1 Turbo System. Congratulations Mike for being first. The R&D T1 Turbo System is very reliable for offshore racing or just recreational fun. Trust R&D Technology, R&D Superiority, and R&D Winning Reliability. R&D’s turbo Yamaha FZR was tested exclusively by www.Jetskiworld.gr last October in Havasu. Read the full report by clicking the R&D banner.

>Klipper’s FZ SVHO equipped with R&D turbo kit

Klipper plan to go close course racing on his Yamaha FX SVHO and recently he decided to get powered by R&D. Bill Chapin worked on his boat in order to install R&D’s latest turbo kit for the Yamaha engine as we tested it exclusively last October (Read all about it in the story published in the Tests section). It is exactly the same turbo kit that now has been installed in to Klipper’s FX. The engine still uses stock cams, stock cam gears, stock fuel injectors, stock fuel pump, stock regulator, etc. However, performance wise it does 76mph at 7800rpm on 9-10 pounds of boost, 78-79mph at 8000rpm on 11-12 pounds of boost and 82.5mph at 8350 on 13-14pounds of boost and according to Chapin it is a “ready to race” Offshore weapon. We know for sure that Mike Klippenstein is always on fast boats.
