While most people star commenting on the difference in size and dimensions of the new four stroke SX-R a well known company in the USA would start designing a new lightweight hood for this craft. It is the same one that fabricated the hood for the two-stroke SX-R.

The R&D Billet Adjustable Pump Cone Kit is a bolt on part designed to work with the SOLAS SVHO pump and oem Venturi nozzle. The R&D APC adds additional length over the Solas cone, and comes complete with tuning spacers. The extended length allows custom rpm tuning, reduced cavitation, and adds additional pump thrust. The R&D Cavitation Fighter Pump Sleeve eliminates the “square edge” transition between the transom plate (155mm id.) and the pump liner (160mm id). The Cav-Fighter Sleeve installs between the two stock parts to blueprint a ramp transition from the transom to the pump liner. When water gets pulled into the pump, the water boils (cavitates) as the impellor is only a half inch (.500”) from the square edge. Field testing confirmed by eliminating the square edge the Cav-Fighter Sleeve reduced cavitation on holeshot acceleration and in hard turns.
